Filler dissolving cost in Korea 2026 — hyaluronidase prices in KRW and USD
Cost

How much does filler dissolving cost in Korea?

Dissolving unwanted hyaluronic acid filler in Korea costs ₩69,000–89,000 (~$50–65) per cc of hyaluronidase at 2026 standard self-pay rates — a fraction of what the original filler cost to place. That makes Korea a practical stop for correcting overdone or migrated filler from earlier work, including work done in another country. If you plan to refill the area afterward, imported HA filler is quoted separately at ₩340,000–460,000 per cc, usually after a waiting period of at least two weeks. VAT is included in every figure, foreign patients pay the same standard rate as domestic patients, and Book Korea Medical adds no markup.

Price drivers

What sets your filler dissolving price

The volume being dissolved is the main variable. Hyaluronidase is dosed against the amount and placement of the existing filler, so a single overfilled lip may need one cc of enzyme while diffuse, migrated filler across the cheeks or under-eyes can need more product and occasionally a second session two or more weeks later. Since the per-cc figure is modest, even a multi-cc correction usually totals less than one syringe of new filler.

The assessment matters more than the enzyme. Dissolving work is diagnosis-led: the injector needs to establish what product was used, how long ago, and where it has settled — harder when the records are from a clinic abroad, which is exactly the situation many visitors arrive with. Bring whatever documentation you have (product name, volume, date). Clinics can work without it using palpation and sometimes ultrasound guidance, but clear records make the dosing plan tighter and the quote firmer.

One caveat belongs in every budget: hyaluronidase only works on hyaluronic acid fillers. Biostimulator and non-HA products cannot be enzymatically dissolved, and a reputable clinic will tell you that at consultation rather than sell you a session that cannot work. If your filler history is mixed or unknown, treat the first visit as an assessment with dissolving as the likely, not certain, outcome.

Dissolve and refill

Budgeting a dissolve-then-refill plan

Many people dissolving filler intend to replace it properly. The two steps are priced independently: ₩69,000–89,000 per cc to dissolve, then ₩340,000–460,000 per cc of imported HA to refill — and they cannot happen in the same appointment. Most injectors wait at least two weeks after hyaluronidase before re-injecting, so the area has settled and the enzyme is fully inactive.

That waiting period is the real planning constraint for a trip. A two-week-plus stay can fit both steps; a shorter visit means dissolving now and refilling on a return trip, or having the refill done at home. Ask the clinic to quote both lines in writing up front, so the refill decision is a scheduling question rather than a new negotiation.

VAT in 2026

VAT is included — and there is no refund in 2026

Every price above is VAT-inclusive: Korea's 10% value-added tax is already built into the standard self-pay rate.

The foreign-patient VAT refund on cosmetic and aesthetic procedures (Special Tax Treatment Control Act, Articles 107-3 and 107-4) expired on 31 December 2025 and was not extended for 2026. As of 2026 there is nothing to reclaim afterward on a procedure like this — the price you see is your effective, out-of-pocket cost. Be cautious of older listings that still promise a clinic VAT refund for cosmetic treatment.

FAQ

How much does it cost to dissolve filler in Korea?

Hyaluronidase runs ₩69,000–89,000 (~$50–65) per cc at 2026 standard self-pay rates, VAT included. Total cost scales with how much filler needs dissolving and whether a second session is needed, but even multi-cc corrections usually come in well under the price of one new syringe of filler. Foreign patients pay the same standard rate, and we add no markup.

Can a Korean clinic dissolve filler that was injected in another country?

Yes — correcting earlier work, including overseas work, is routine at Korean injectable clinics. Bring any records you have of the product, volume, and date; if you have none, the injector assesses by examination and, where useful, ultrasound. The one hard limit is chemistry: hyaluronidase only dissolves hyaluronic acid fillers, so non-HA products need a different conversation.

Why do filler dissolving quotes differ between clinics?

Within the ₩69,000–89,000 per-cc band, the differences come from how many cc your correction actually needs, whether the plan anticipates a second pass after two or more weeks, and how much assessment work — examination, photographs, sometimes ultrasound — is built into the visit. Compare quotes by the planned enzyme volume and session count, not the headline per-cc figure alone.

Does the dissolving price include VAT, and is there a refund in 2026?

VAT is already included in the quoted figures. The foreign-patient VAT refund on cosmetic procedures expired on 31 December 2025 and does not apply in 2026, so nothing is reclaimable afterward — your written quote is your effective, final cost for both the dissolving and any refill.

How do I get an exact quote for dissolving — and refilling — my filler?

Share photos of the area and whatever you know about the original filler through a free consultation. A KHIDI-registered clinic confirms whether the product is dissolvable, estimates the enzyme volume, and issues a written quote — ideally with the ₩340,000–460,000 per-cc refill priced as a separate line so you can decide each step on its own. We add no markup.
