Data journalists can actually use
Book Korea Medical is a KHIDI-registered international patient platform (registration A-2026-04-02-06873). Alongside the booking service, our research desk publishes reference data on Korean medical tourism — compiled from statutory fee disclosures, clinic rate cards, and official government statistics, with a source note on every row and a public corrections log. Everything below is free to cite with a link.
What we publish
Korea Aesthetic Treatment Price Index 2026 — standard list prices for 15 treatment categories in the units clinics actually quote (per area, per shot count, per cc), with Korea's promotional "event pricing" excluded and explained. 85 published price rows, updated annually.
Korea Medical Tourism Statistics 2026 — the official numbers, compiled and sourced: 2,011,822 foreign patients in 2025 (up 72% in a year), China overtaking Japan as the largest source country for the first time, dermatology at 62.9% of specialty visits, 87.2% of patients treated in Seoul, and the won's 2026 slide translated into dollar treatment prices.
Quick quotable figures
Botox from about $12 per area at standard Seoul prices · 2.01 million foreign patients in 2025 (MOHW) · China now the top source country (618,973 patients, 30.8%) · Korea's 2030 target of 2 million patients reached five years early · the won fell 6.7% against the dollar January–July 2026, cutting dollar-terms treatment costs without any clinic changing its rate card.
How to cite, and our standards
Cite freely with a link to the source page. Korean won is the source of truth; dollar conversions are marked approximate with the rate stated. Where a figure rests on a single source, we say so. Errors are corrected on-page with a dated note — if you spot one, email us and we will fix it publicly. We can pull custom cuts of the underlying tables (by treatment, market, or unit) for stories on request, usually same-day.

Disclosure
We operate a booking platform, so part of the price data originates from partner-clinic rate cards; the rest comes from statutory non-covered fee disclosures and public government data (MOHW, KHIDI, HIRA), attributed per row. We publish the methodology with the data so you can judge it yourself.
